Help get the Floating Classroom ready for its 2024 launch!

The long-awaited Floating Classroom is here on Lake Norman! We're excited to launch programming in spring 2024!

Children and adults alike will have the opportunity to experience the Catawba Riverkeeper first hand! Programs will teach students of all ages about local water quality, ecology, wildlife, environmental stewardship, and the history of the Catawba River. Education programs will operate out of Davidson College's Lake Campus in Mooresville, NC.

Several generous donors contributed to the buildout of the Floating Classroom fund through our Vision 2025 Capacity Campaign. Their gifts made the creation of the impressive, 12 ft. x40 ft. tri-toon with twin 150 horsepower engines possible.

As we prepare for the kickoff of the Floating Classroom season, we need to buy more education supplies and safety equipment.

We are also raising money for scholarships. Our goal is to provide the Floating Classroom experience free of charge for the students and groups who otherwise couldn't afford the opportunity.
